As the capital of the Northern state of Nord-Rhine Westpahlia, Dusseldorf has long been a major destination for business and tourism. With some of the largest Trade Fair halls in Germany, Dusseldorf hosts some of the most renowned technical Fairs in Europe, including the annual Medical Fair and the 4 yearly print Fair, Drupa.
The Altstadt ( Old Town), with its intriguing architecture, and legendary ‘mile of bars’ ( serving the equally famous local Altbeer!), has long been a huge pull for visitors, has an array of traditional and modern restaurants and plays host to the beautiful Christmas Markets from the end of November. Over the past decade the Media Harbour, South of the Old Town, has developed into a young, trendy area with many modern bars and restaurants. Not to mention the famous shopping on Konigsalle, or the two major Art Galleries- you won’t be short of ways to fill your down time.
With one of the longest expanses of River Front of the locations we work in, mooring positions span the whole city- from directly outside the Fairgrounds in the north, to the busier central moorings on the Rhein Terrassen and Media Harbour, or the quieter harbour locations of Dussledorf and Neuss.
All public transport is free with your exhibitor or visitor entry ticket to the Fair
There are many car parking areas within Dusseldorf and Neuss, both along the river-side and within the town. Please note that parking on the river-side can become very busy, and places at the Fair need to be reserved in advance. A ma p of parking spaces can be found here:
The main local taxi company is Taxi Dusseldorf, who have set fare prices in line with state regulations:
